The Role Lumino Symes de Silva is currently on the lookout for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis After completing his post-graduate studies in Dunedin, Dr Graham Symes saw an opportunity to establish a 7-day-a-week dental practice in Wellington. In 1992 he set up a one-surgery clinic on the ground floor of the building that would later become Symes de Silva House on Courtenay Place.
The practice was unique in that it charged standard prices on weekends in contrast to the Wellington dental emergency roster system that was currently in place. As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld, and the best patient care is provided to every patient.
You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer care.
